Empathy, Forgiveness and Karma

Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

Kind of funny really. When someone hurts you, do we empathise? Do we think oh, they had a traumatic childhood, how could they turn out differently?

I call bullshit.

I think we either learn from, or against. Some people are just not that good. I think forgiveness is different. Yes, you fucked up, but if I can see that you are remorseful, apologise and most importantly hold yourself accountable, then I can empathise.

Don’t get me wrong, I think of myself as empathetic, but as the Crow I look at matters from both angles and choose to be understanding or objective, and I pride myself on choosing what I think is the side of justice.

That said, More so lately I just find myself bored. I’m like a penguin from Madagascar. Just smile and wave.

Some people are so narrow minded it’s like having an argument with a drunk person, not that I used to talk to the mirror that often by the way.

Don’t get me wrong. Empathy will always be a part of me, whether it turns out to be a positive or a detriment, I refuse to be jaded by people with bad morals. I also want to forgive, everyone deserves love, even if they don’t know how to accept it.

Karma. Everyone sees it differently. They did bad, they will get hit by a bus in the future. Sorry champ, get real. I’ve lost some of the best people I know, that was life, or death, or whatever. Either way it sucked and karma never crossed my mind. To me, karma is when someone does bad, and I just look at them, think you are actually that person, and that shall forever be your karma.

I read a quote once, it basically said if you do something nice for someone and they are mean in return, just be nicer.

I love that quote.
